I fail to understand why there can't be a universal release time for all DLC regardless of all the different formats in this day and age ?

Steam is late because of something to do with Valve (owners of steam), the time difference between the UK and wherever Valve are in the US is why they can’t set it to release I think

Steam (Valve ) is located in Washington State and is on PDT which is several hours behind the UK and Europe. They generally open around 10am PDT which is 5pm or 4pm in the UK, depending on the season. DTG and partners have no control over release times with Steam or Epic.

We go through this irritating discussion every time DTG releases a route DLC. Why can't people remember this and just exercise some patience?.

DTG can't control release times. The platforms give them a release slot.
