Sometimes, modern rail yards and some industries in the US use Remote-Controlled Locomotives (RCLs) for switching instead of having crews on board. I'm no expert, but there is a guy, Tim Garland, on Youtube who is a real loco engineer for NS. He recently made a video on his HO model train layout (Seaboard Central) that discussed the rules for RC switchers in real life freight yards. Basically, an RC loco can be run without a crew in the cab. If you look at photos of some modern yard locomotives, you will see strobe lights and some RC antennas on the cab roof. Basically, this system is kind of like running model trains with DCC or other command-control systems, except it's for running real trains. Could RCLs be added to TSW5? It could be fun for a player to have their character standing outside the loco and working an industry or shunting cars or locomotives around BNSF's Barstow Yard (Cajon Pass Route), CSX's Cumberland Yard (Sand Patch), NS's Juniata Shops (Horseshoe Curve), or UP's Cheyenne or Laramie Yards (Sherman Hill). For new RC locomotives, we could get a GP15-1/T/AC, SW1500, MP15DC/AC/T, etc. for any of these routes.
Look like good idea but it also an bad idea at the same time,as there a high chance people can abuse that to do runaway. So Dovetail wouldn't want that.
