Hi All. Maybe I'm missing something, but I've just recently got TSW5 (after having every other version prior) and can't seem to remove the compass/time on screen graphic that sits in the bottom right corner. Previously you hit & held the options button and it would remove the AP graphic top right, as well as the compass/time graphic bottom right - now it just seems to remove the AP graphic. Am I missing something? A lot of the time I just chill playing as a passenger in the game, and I always loved the fact you could remove all UI elements and be left with just the game. It also seems the same when you go into the built in Photo Mode - the Compass/Time graphic remains, which somewhat spoils the photo. I can't believe this is right - so what am I missing? Many thanks, Mark
I believe another player also mentioned this and said it was a glitch in TSW5. Didn't think I had this in TSW4, or at first with TSW5 so hopefully they fix it.
Yeah, I ran into the same thing. Hitting Ctrl + 5 solved it for me. thanks to aeronautic237 who answered this for me in a previous thread.
I can also add the I get the exact same problem on the PC. I noticed it firstly on WCML South, but it also does it on the new WCML Shap.
Thanks for the replies. Only thing is I'm playing on PS5, so don't have a keyboard to do CTRL + 5 (I know I could plug one in, but that's an extra step I shouldn't have to make). I would imagine this is something that could be fixed extremely quickly - can someone from Dovetail maybe confirm?
I believe that holding the option button used to work, but if it no longer does, then your only option is, unfortunately, the keyboard. It is inconvenient, it will hopefully be fixed soon, but if you really want it now, then the keyboard is the only way for now.
I've found out that on the 'normal' HUD setting, the compass won't go away (even with Ctrl + 5). On the minimal HUD setting, it will. Try setting the HUD to 'minimal' and see if holding the 'option' button works.
Having a similar issue. Entering photo mode used to cause the compass to disappear. Now the compass remains visible in photo mode which ruins taking pictures.
The easiest thing would be for Dovetail to just fix it... I wouldn't have thought it would take too long? And while we're on the subject of bugs, one that has been around for ages is the non working controller when first loading into a station. Basically you can't move. Only way to fix is to restart session. That's been a thing for ages now, still no fix.
