I would like to suggest to rename the Technical Reports section at the forum to Bugs Report. I think it covers better what it really means. To promote better bug reporting, consider a "Bug report of the month" competition. Might be fun if we include humor as one of the criteria.
So where do we report issues cause by intentional changes made (so not a bug) which may or may not be related to things on DTG's end? Limiting the section to "bugs" would limit it's function and make it basically irrelevant, a bit like the roadmap as it stands
Suggestions forum or general discussions forums, I think these belong there and not in a bug reporting forum. The word technical is also not suitable to have discussions on features that are or are not present into my opinion. I think the forums need far more restructuring and participants might think a bit longer on where ot post as well.
So you want technical issues that aren't bugs reported in suggestions? Surely would be easier to split the tech section into "bugs" and "other" Well that's not going to happen. People tend not to follow forum instruction as it is (such as necro posting, bumping etc)
The problem I see with the Technical Forum is its status. Is it a valid alternative to using the formal bug feedback form/system? There is no indication DTG look at the individual posts let alone respond as to whether the report is considered a valid issue and if so where in the hierarchy of fixes it might lie. In fact IIRC, Matt actually started threads in the PC Discussion section to record timetable issues on the RH routes (which are no closer to being fixed, it has to be stated).
