    Hello Dovetail Games,

I have a simple proposal that could be made in just a few days.

Can you replace all old "too thin" catenary cables on all the old routes please because when you are stationary or less than 3 km/h, these cables flickers.
You can replace the old cables by the new TSW4 cables. (The TSW4 cables don't cause flickering on the cables because these are more thicker than TSW and TSW2 cables).

For example, look the scenario "Light travel to Letmathe" on route "Ruhr Sieg Nord", you can try to seat in the train.

That can improve a graphic annoying problem.

Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day.

Please do not replace it, but make it optional in the settings,

because there are many players who simply hate the new catenary because it is much too thick and absolutely ugly.
In addition, with good hardware and the right fine-tuning of the settings, you won't have any flicker problems.

So please don't replace it, but add an option where the player can decide for themselves, thank you.

    Hello sequencer2k16,

Honestly, I prefer it to be thicker and have no more flickers.
But, why not, I respect everyone's preferences.

Do you have ideas for fix this flickering problem please ?

    No!
No 2 or 3 inch solid black gas pipes strung over the rails.

OHLE/Catenary remains very poorly done on most electrified routes: staggered masts, irregular zig-zag or none at all, contact wire off the pantograph shoe in curves, incorrect height in stations and yards and silly up-and-down under every obstacle.
In fact, I dislike the current situation so much refuse to buy any electrified route at full price.

No. The thick lines look awkward.

The issue is the Anti Aliasing. The lines are thin, so calculations are done on an interpolated subpixel range. To help the TAA getting more information to work with, raise the Scaling, which increases the resolution of the frame to be postprocessed, and the result is then scaled back down.

In layman's terms: supersampling, like in TSC? though Temporal Anti Aliasing isn't supported in TSC I believe.

There are several routes in TSC with very nice looking catenary, though the staggered masts and contact wire problem in curves is also present in the older simulation.
