I want to suggest a feature where we can replace any service with a different loco. Take this as an expample. I would like to drive a full service from Leeds to Manchester on the Trans Pennine Express with the Pacer instead of the Class 101. Only way I can do this full service with stops etc is by making a new timetable wich is pretty tiresome to make a whole new timetable. Thats why we should eb able to spawn in a trainset, take the Pacer as an example and be able to "take over" an existing timetable service with that train we spawned in (Pacer). This will make it possible to be more creative with services and should be a pretty simple feature to add and it will add way more immersion.
Great Suggestion, I want something like that since the beginnig of TSW. I really hope we get that feature some day.
This would be cool, but I'd like the feature to be such that when you select a service in the menu, you can select a submenu to select the loco of your choice - of course subject to certain constraints to prevent it being too long for the start/end platform and blocking signal blocks etc.
We already have substitutions in timetable mode. It just sucks that some routes have very limited ones. The 101 on TPE for example like you mentioned. Meanwhile on German routes almost every German freight loco is interchangeable.
