A feature that allows you to record your simulation and play it back from different angles would be absolute gold. Im thinking of replay tools in e.g. Microsoft Flight Simulator or BeamNG - this is the kind of functionality I’m imagining, just for reference.

Certainly, not everyone would need this, but as a content creator, I’d pay for it. My current workflow requires me to repeat the same scenario multiple times just to capture different angles for a single video. It's insanely time-consuming and not always perfectly replicable.

And also from a technical standpoint, this isn’t a beyond what‘s possible ;) Epic has official documentation on replay systems in UE, and there are even YouTube tutorials on how to implement them…

This would add huge value for creators and anyone wanting to analyze or enjoy their scenarios :) so please consider adding this feature in a future update

not much of a point in it cos many apps from Windows itself to GeForce Experience and other utilities have solid recording features

I'm not talking about a basic screen recording feature like what GeForce Experience or OBS provides - sorry if that wasn't clear. What I'm suggesting is a simulation recording tool; something that captures the entire state of the simulation (positions, physics, events, etc.) so that you can later replay and freely move the camera to view your journey from any perspective at any point in time.
So you can record a journey, then scrub through the timeline and switch perspectives, use cinematic shots, or analyze specific moments in detail, without having to re-do the entire scenario.

Again, this probably isn't needed by everyone, but for content creators, this would be fantastic. For example: atm, I have to repeat the same service run multiple times just to get different angles, which is both time-consuming and inconsistent – the AI traffic, timing, or my own driving won’t ever be 100% the same across takes

ah ok, that would be nice indeed... as someone with OCD tendencies I tend to analyse little things, and sometimes I dont remember if at the speed restriction there was or wasnt a sign post present or not, or what exactly was the signal progression that I got a penalty brake app for

sometimes if I react quickly enough, I use photo mode to check some things, sometimes my inner anxiety forces me to restart the service to pinpoint stuff... so yeah, if I could review things in hindsight, would be nice indeed

I back this. I’ve made Northern rail livery’s for the sprinters and I’m always having to load up a route to get pictures for the CC tab. A replay feature where you can re-watch your journey would make it not only fun but very helpful with going to certain timestamps to get some great shots!
