Good evening, I have seen some amazing videos of TSW3 running on PCs where the lighting and frame rates are quite beautiful. Can someone please advise me how much I might expect to spend to have a PC that makes the game run that well. I currently use a PS4 PRO and it doesn't get anywhere close to those videos I see on YouTube. Any thoughts gratefully received.
You'd be looking at... Maybe 1000 quid? Not to mention you also have to tinker the .ini files, get mods and rebuy all your routes. I made the switch to PS5 recently but thats what I saw as the main arguements for PC.
You also much get much more sales on steam but you'll have to rebuy all your content so it's your decision to make. If you want tsw to look the best of the best and to run in 4k at 60fps, you'll need a beefy machine. Also there's a bunch of mods and ini changes that can impact how you play the game
I'm running: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Carbon MOBO with 32 gb RAM Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8 gb video card 2 tb SSD zforce 32" curved monitor About $1250/USD Runs flawlessly
I have a GTX 1660 SUPER and 16 GB RAM and my game runs kinda okay, good FPS on most routes but places like Munich when looking outside do lag a bit but eh... doesn't matter
The GTX 1600 series are about the limit as far as being able to run TSW. Also 12GB of RAM- DTG's claim you can run it on 8 is nonsense (not on top of the whopping amount of memory that Windows hogs).
We are expecting TSW4 to be released soon (read as before september ends). You might want to wait until it is released just in case the requirements change.
Id still argue with what e'd recomend it'd still be fine. TSW4 isn't going to like destroy the record for most resource enducing game. I actually have a PC that was only 800 quid and it ran TSW3 smooth like butter - I moved to PS5 for unrelated to preformance reasons. I dont think TSW4 will do something THAT drastic.
I don't know if it will require more hardware or not. I did not expect TSW3 to require more than TSW2, and it made me upgrade my 1080Ti to something better so I could keep playing at 2K above 60fps, so I would not completely rule out that TSW4 might require better hardware for the same performance. As always, I'm just giving my point of view but it is fine if someone has a different one and just decides to upgrade to what works for TSW3 now. I just like to make safe moves in general.
You need a high end CPU, an RTX 30xx, at least 16GB of Ram and a fast SSD to run consistently with 60fps at 4k. I have those components and, although many players speak highly of .ini mods, my game runs fine without them.
Just a reminder that you can find videos showing game performance with various specs. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32GB of DDR4 and an RX 6700xt. It gets 80-100 fps at 1080p in prettymuch any modern game so I guess that works.
I was running on DRA the other day and the game consumed around 9 gigs of ram, of course making the game a stuttering mess, had to quit that run, I have 16gb of RAM currently.
