[resolved] “missing Texture” On Loading Screen.

Since the last update I am getting a large “MISSING TEXTURE” yellow and black screen on the loading screen when I start the game.

What am I missing and how do I get it?

 

What update? There's been no update for months. Are you playing the subscription version? With loading screen you mean the screen appearing before the main menu is displayed? Have you changed some files?

Make a Steam file verification.

Are you using any 3rd party AV scanners? They might cause this. Get rid of them.

What happens when you play offline?

 

Thanks Spikee. I’m using the “original” TSC and the screen has been like that since the update months ago. Have verified the files and tried running offline and without AV but it’s still the same. It’s the loading screen before the main menu is displayed. It’s not actually affecting anything so might be best to leave it alone!

 

It loads these files. They should be there after a verification.

 

Everything is there! Very strange. I’ll try again because it did download a few things first time around.

 

I get this and reported it. I tried everything that was suggested but it has stayed. Just taken it as a loading screen as the game plays well, so not worried about it.

 

That is weird. I've heard of this a few times. But everything works on my end. I can swap out the small splash image, the main splash screen and the menu background. It always loads the files.

Currently using the nice splash screen from v72

Just replace three images (splash logo, splash screen and menu background. Note that the main menu background is not actually in the files (well it is, but not used by the game) but gets loaded from DTG servers - it can be replaced by manually adding a "background.jpg" which I did.)

Not sure it will solve your issue as the game apparently refuses to load the texture which is present as you say. There's something else at play.

 

whenever I turn on the game I have this problem right when I turn on the game. After a while the menu loads and it works normally. But this problem then appears with the mod, because when I download any map it simply doesn't load. I would be happy for your help.

 

Sorry you haven’t received a reply to this. You don’t need to do anything. I believe it’s a screenshot although DTG support won’t admit it. I followed all their instructions and it still remains. If you look at the screen at the bottom you will see the normal information from DTG, so l believe it’s ok. I have had it since installing TSC24 and so have a number of posters. Type in missing texture in search bar for more help.
