Epic Games [resolved] Constant Crashing On Tsw5

I play TSW5 on an MSI GF65 Thin with 16GB of RAM, running on windows 10. Over the past couple of days the game has been crashing randomly while I'm driving on a route. The most common error was on NY-Trenton's scenario: 'Sunny Side Up'.

I had just stopped in the siding in Sunnyside Yard after going around the loop with the failed locomotive and cars in tow. I uncouple the second loco from the carriages, check the in-game map, try to exit, but WHAM! Hit with the same error once again.

Some help would be appreciated as this doesn't usually happen.

 

Verify that your game files are good.

Check for GPU driver updates, as they are usually the biggest culprit.

Also the route you mentioned is well known to have "issues"

 

I suggest you have a look at these videos on Nvidia drivers.

 

Verified my game's files, the latest gpu driver is installed, but the game is still crashing. I'll have a look at those videos tho and see if they help. Thanks

and download the GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 576.15 driver and install it.

 

Update: Checked the videos, and it was a case of downloading the hot fix Emmy_MAN suggested. Gameplay is back to normal. Thanks for the help
