    Did you verify files

Are you sure no mods are installed. Some of them can have the same file naming as a dlc

Thanks you for your answer! I checked the content folder again and there are no mods as I can see. However to be sure I took a screebshot of the folder.

Thanks for the answer. I did reset the 3D settings in the Nvidia Controlpanel but it still crashes directly when starting up TSW.

Fortunatly it does not seem to be a hardware issue. Today it worked totally fine. I guess it was the Nvidia Controlpanel reset that fixed it. Last time I did not restart my PC after the reset and it still crashed on startup. However today I just opened it and it run perfect.

I had some CTD’s on startup which generated the UE error message about failure to render.

There seemed to be two factors but I’m not sure which was the cause. First was running TSW in 1440p but setting Nvidia to upscale. I removed the profile for TSW from the Nvidia Control Panel.

I also had a stuck Windows update and had to resort to DISM and scannow/sfc (Google it) to eliminate the problem, but it certainly looks as if the OS putting so many resources into trying and failing to do the update (HD light continually on) played a part in TSW crashing on startup.

Strangely though, in this situation Roadcraft and Snowrunner would start okay so it must be something particular to the UE process.
