When you transfer a profile over from TSW3 PS5 version to TSW4 PS5 version, you don't need the full game to do that do you? You only need the save file so to speak

There are no dumb questions. From the information on the FAQ it says you need to have TSW3 still installed. Once the transfer is complete you can delete TSW3.

So no it's not a dumb question as I also had presumed a save file would be sufficient on Playstation

 

Base game TSW3 will be required for the safety of the transfer, additional route and loco dlc are not required.

 

I have TSW3 installed on the PS5 itself. I will be installing TSW4 on the internal 2TB SSD. I hope that won't be a problem for the profile and progress transfer?

 

So am i right in thinking if i download tsw4, whilst tsw3 is still on my ps4, my profile will transfer across.. and after that i can delete tsw3?

i'm mostly wanting the collectibles from the tsw3 routes to transfer over to tsw4.. i don't want to have to go searching for all the route maps and posters again if that makes sense!

I'm assuming you can transfer progress over during the early access period? I know I won't be able to start downloading the old add ons until the 26th but I'd like to get the profile on there ready. I don't want to create a new TSW4 profile and then five days later have what progress I've made on ECML erased as I replace it with my original TSW3 profile.

 

should do yes, it should fall under how it transfers safer by having the base game and not needing the add-ons, so release dates for add ons should be irrelevant to the case.

 

I know the feeling... I was at lvl 972 or so on my PS4 when I made the switch to PS5 in June. Seeing that 0 again did hurt...

 

Yes, BUT don't forget to launch TSW4 to give it a chance to execute the profile transfer before you uninstall TSW3. Just downloading TSW4 is probably not enough.

 

So how do you transfer you progress and DLCs from TSW3 to TSW4 on PS4.

I haven't bought TSW4 yet, but was thinking of getting it if there are a few more British 80s routes.

 

When you download TSW4, all content from TSW3 should be ready to download.
