Something I've noticed is that when a you come up on a speed limit change, it changes instantly in the HUD if its to a lower speed limit, but if it's to a higher speed limit there is a delay. It doesn't seem consistent either so you can't really predict when to increase speed.

Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying if you're trying to make the best time.

Just curious if that is based on reality or is just a flaw in the sim? Like do real train drivers have to wait for a certain amount of time after a speed limit increase to actually speed up?

    thanks

On higher speed limit change you can’t increase your speed until the end of your train passes through the speed restriction. Hence the wait to be able to throttle up. Otherwise the rear of your train would be travelling over the prescribed speed limit. Happens in real life.
