[resolved] Problem With Buying Train Simulator: High Speed Bundle On Steam

Hello, I wanted to purchase the High Speed Bundle on Steam but have encountered a problem. In the preview the price is the same (~910 RUB), but when I add the bundle to my cart, the price changes (~1372 RUB), as if it doesn't take into account that I already own TSW Classic.

Has anyone had the same problem? I've sent a support request, but thought I'd ask here as well.

 

There was a problem with the TSW bundles too but they fixed that the other day, you've done the best and only thing you can do and that's raise a support ticket with DTG.

 

In short: there is no problem, just proceed.
What happens if you try to buy just TSC 2024? Do you have it entirely? Like in my 2nd capture.

In the old times for simple bundles, this message should tell you that you own some of the items. In my case, all.
I suppose this is what you are getting for TSC 2024, although...


The High Speed Bundle appears to be dynamic. It's sort of a complete your collection bundle, if you know those.
In my case, I get 40% for the Chinese route and 40% for the bundle. 0.6 * 0.6 = 0.36, so I get a 64% discount as is. I only have to pay for that route (15.59) discounted (9.35).


There is a nasty element of TSC 2024: it's both a product and a bundle.
I suppose you do own TSC in general. As such when you visit TSC, it tells you that you already have it.
But if you are missing routes from it, purchasing it (as part of the bundle) will actually add the bundle (routes) to your account.

Yeah sure, I own a TSC. I think it's some sort of glitch with the bundle, I'll wait for a reply from support. I understand how the discount stacking works, but thanks for the clarification anyway!

 

The sale will be over before you get a reply from Steam

Go thru the process again and Before you reach the Payment Page it will give you the price that you will pay.
If it is still higher than expected you could just cancel the purchase.

Also do the selection thru your Steam Client rather than the Web Page as it knows better it is you.

The sale runs until tomorrow. I'll wait until tomorrow for a reply, I doubt Dovetail will be able to help in time, but maybe I'll at least know the reason.

 

IF you actually want the items you could go thru the process and see what the price is Before your purchase.

However if you don't want them and this is just a winge about the price being wrong then wait for DTG to get back.

 

The price error remains before payment, so obviously some problem in the bundle.

 

What I meant is, do you own TSC or specifically 2024?
If you add TSC 2024 on its own to your cart, is it like mine - all 6 items listed as duplicate - or would you receive some?

I get that, but do you have Riesa-Dresden, Crewe-Holyhead and Washington-Baltimore?
The initial screenshot shows that you already own TSC 2024 but you do not own TSC 2024.
The explanation can be that you own TSC 2024 (app = the core, no content) but you miss content in TSC 2024 (the package).

It is absolutely clear, not confusing at all.

 

What does that mean?
When I wrote this post, I had the "core" (TSC 2024) and Game of Gnomes. I then purchased the Train Simulator: Chatham Main Line Route + BR Blue Diesel & Electrics Twin Pack and Great British Railway Journeys + TS DLC. Then I wanted to purchase the High Speed Bundle but have encountered a problem. I got TSC 2024 itself for free over the winter when it was given away for free as part of the Game of Gnomes.

 

Ended up buying the Deluxe and then the discount for the set was correctly calculated. Apparently not only the "core" but also some content is required after all. Support still has not responded... Thank you all for the answers, the topic can be closed.
