Crashes without mods, crashes with emptied unmodified Engine.ini, verified files, reinstalled both the 218 and Maintalbahn once each. Maintalbahn runs fine without having the 218 installed, but as soon as it is installed, BOTH timetables (yes, also the one without the 218 listed) crash the game in an attempt to load. The 218 is at fault for the Maintalbahn issue, but loads and runs fine anywhere else. Apparently nobody else is having this issue. I don't know what causes this, as I have already tried everything.
Hi Myron , I take it you have been using mods? Please be aware that mod managers won't pick up everything and the only way to ensure that your installation is completely vanilla, is to complete a clean reinstallation. Yeah thats an good point... before you ask remove all mods and test again. If it loads normal with no mods replace mod after mod and see wich one caused the issue.
I believe the first 3 words in my post imply that I tested this without having a single mod installed, yet it still crashes. Jan has also advised me to do a complete reinstall in the TSC Discord server, so I might do that later today.
Sorry ive missed that a new installation could be a solution yeah... But strange that it will occur without mods either
Apologies for any misunderstanding. Just mentioning mods and modified games files suggests that you may have done these things in the past, and files can often be left behind even if you think you've removed everything.
I forgot to mention a bit earlier today that everything works fine again, after reinstalling the entire game. I reinstalled all mods too, and it seems to work now with all those. Thanks again for the help! You can close this thread now if you want.
