will: Class 323, Class 314, Class 395, Class 801, Class 150, and trains with Class 47 be compatible with the Guard mode? Does someone know?
no. guard mode is a TSW5+ feature only, older vehicles will not be compatible with guard mode, as far as I know at least.
In fact, only certain trains are compatible with conductor mode, as outlined in the TSW5 FAQ. San Bernardino Line: EMD F125 Metrolink, MP36PH-3C Metrolink, Rotem Bi-Level Cab Car Metrolink WCML: Class 350 Frankfurt – Fulda: 766.2 DBpbzfa DB, BR 114 DB, BR 146.2 So, for example, we know Pendolino is not compatible. They said it made no sense, due to the number of stops.
Same with the ICE T. And both make sense in another aspect: tilting. You are most likely gonna noclip out of the train if it tilts too much while you are walking inside of it, simply because the playermodel collisions don't seem to tilt with the train to eliminate this issue.
In the preview stream they said the feature was developed on BCC, so BCC and GLP may get this in the future. For those Mk1/Mk2 coaches, you're gonna open / close the doors a lot as they are not electronically controlled so not really.
That would mean you couldn't use these trains as a passenger either... makes no sense. Do you clip through the 612 on Tharandter Rampe as passenger when it tilts? No. Collision check still works, why shouldn't it.
considering the seats on the ICE T might form a smaller gap in the center, this is more likely to happen. and obviously if you remain seated nothing will happen, so that's not an argument.
Two of the shots I posted were walking, I did not clip. I just don't think that would be a reason for not featuring conductor mode - the trains were possibly already in a state of development that didn't allow the feature to be implemented, and the lack of gameplay aspect. Better for stopping commuter services.
When the GWE remaster comes out, both HST and Turbo will get guard mode, so a Mark 1 or Mark 2 guard mode isn't entirely out of the question...
Conductor mode is also going to be available on WCML North, so count the 87 and Mark III stock on the list. Also I really hope one of the tasks will be to physically make sure all doors are closed
Both preview streams so far have highlighted an apparant bug where there are no passengers to check until after the first stop. This may explain why it hasn't been implemented on the high speed trains, if your service doesn't have any intermediate stops, you aren't going to have anything to do.
When viewing the timetable of the new TSW5 routes. Check to see if a service has a little "ticket" icon next to the time. Those services are available to do in driver and conductor mode.
Would any of the trains on the West midlands railway-lichfeild, redditch, bromsgrove have any guard/conductor mode in the future?
Hopefully soon. Given that there is an unstable version available on the Cross City Line that we are advised to not play, it would make sense that they update it with a working one soon.
Ah, hopefully. I mean I really want more trains in guard mode, and I'm writing a "suggestion" about it now
Can I play conductor mode on the older German routes that use the 766.2 DBPBzfa ? like on main spessart bahn etc? Or just the Frankfurt fulda route
i saw a video on youtube of someone using guard mode not the official conductor mode on on one of the Scotland route trains not sure which one.
Can you access it from the timetable screen? I know the Pendolino has had a conductor mode since September, but we were advised against using it. I don't know if this advice has changed - can someone let me know please?
Do you actually get any PAX tickets to check now on the 390? I was playing it from timetable mode when it was first made an option earlier this year or maybe late last year, and I got like 4 tickets to check in the whole train several times I played.
