[resolved] Tsw 2020 Dlc´s Still Purchasable?

Hi everyone,
i purchased TSW 2020 back in 2019 via steam also got some dlc back then. Many years i have played it on and off for some nice relaxing play.
Now i see that there are even more dlc´s for tsw 2020 at the games shop page.

Clicking them opens nothing and if i look on steam every dlc is just for TSW 5.

Am i somehow able to purchase theese dlc?

All DLCs are TSW compatible, which means they can be bought and used in the latest TSW version regardless of when they were first introduced.

They aren't backwards compatible though, eg a TSW4 DLC can't be used in TSW2020, TSW2 or TSW3).

 

You can no longer buy DLC for TSW2020. You can buy DLC for TSW2, TSW3, TSW4, and TSW5.

If you do decide to buy TSW5 (or TSW6 when it releases in the Autumn), your TSW2020 DLC will come with you, except for NEC: New York, the Amtrak SW1000R, or the CSX GP40-2. Those DLC were not brought forward.

So i need to have the latest TSW program to get the routes originally made for TSW2020 or would TSW 2 be enough?
If TSW 6 comes live do i need to buy that to get new dlc routes for TSW 5? Sounds a little shady to yearly buy a new program to get routes made for the actual TSW 5?
I have to take look if my old potato pc from 2016 could still handle it.

Did i understand correctly, that i need to keep TSW2020 to play CSX Heavy Haul?

TSW2 would be enough.

Probably not. We don't know what DTG will do in the future, but if they continue this pattern, then you won't need TSW6 unless you want the latest TSW6 routes. TSW2020 is the exception because it was the first TSW to be abandoned.

CSX Heavy Haul was updated and renamed to Sand Patch Grade in TSW2. I am not sure if having CSX Heavy Haul allows you to play Sand Patch Grade in TSW2 - perhaps someone like DTG Alex can help here.

 

I just tried it on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/sub/377756/ and I already have the base game and all DLCs, it does state that the DLCs will not show up in the search,

but if you know what you want and type it in should show up.
On Xbox also the DLCs Yes, Base Game No, unless you can get a copy of the Base Game for the console.
