PS5 [resolved] Tv Goes Black When Using Ps5 & Tsw5

Has anyone had an issue when playing TSW5 on PS5 that their tv display goes completely black? I can still hear the game playing and when pausing I can hear the PS5 notices and notification sounds. The only way to reset it is turning the tv on and off. TSW5 is the only game this happens to me on. Happens particularly often entering tunnels or passing under bridges.

 

Had something similar. The culprits turned out to be average quality HDMI cables from the PS5 to the AV Receiver and from there to the HDMI Input of the TV. If you run TSW5 on 4k and HDR, you should really invest some money in decent HDMI cables. Worked for me.

 

Yes same set up as Pipe. Used an old HDMI cable from my receiver to the TV and it was not good enough. I could play for a while then it would start to flicker and go black but the sound was fine.

Swapped it for a decent quality one and it's been fine ever since.

 

I think I actually found the problem. I was streaming the game on PlayStation Plus to save limited m HDD space. I re-downloaded it to my ps5 and the problem seems to have vanished.
