The latest TSW 5 update via Steam is stuck in a loop. The almost 1GB update downloaded but it is now stuck in a loop of patching to about 50% and then validating to 100%.
Never had this problem before and wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I do not use mods.

Have you tried logging out of steam and back in, perhaps a pc reboot then load up steam .
I'm at my pc now, I'll see what happens pmc.

I'm on steam now, nothing shows on Tsw for update.
Strange, could have been pulled between you logging in and me?
Build is still 386 for me.
Last week's patch took a while to to do the update after downloading, about 8 minutes.
Sorry I can't help more, hopefully someone will be along.

I have heard some people say you can open C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs\content_log.txt and search for something like 'Failed updating depot', then delete the file it mentions

If that doesn't work, you might need to reinstall the game

Thank you to all who responded. Tried all suggestions but in the end had to reinstall.
