On some routes I try to resume from a save, like Main Spessart Bahn and Northern Trans-Pennine, the game is completely broken and becomes unplayable. The hud in the top right corner displaying the time and objective is missing and the current objective cannot be completed.

I've seen some old threads on issues with resuming saves, even going back to the original TSW.

Is this something that is still being investigated and are their any known workarounds?

The savegames are still broken, you have to play the scenario in one session without saving.
Unfortunately there is no other workaround but i saw it on the Roadmap "In planning".

I thought that was the case. It really sucks as sometimes I just fancy having a quick session and picking it up later.

Just checked now. I can see '[Fix] Settings not being saved between game sessions' on the roadmap. Lets hope this includes fixing these issues and making the saves at least playable.

This is exactly what I meant. Let's hope it fixes the savegames too.

Especially on Sand Patch Grade it's annoying because some scenarios are very long and not everybody has that much time to complete it in one session. After an hour of driving you save, come back later and nothing works anymore or settings are changed or even locked.

Personally I don't miss the savegame function but others are disappointed or upset when they lose their progress.
