About five months or so ago, I returned to a hobby I'd been neglecting for quite a while: building wooden ship models. I'd abandoned this activity after encountering a few kits that I just could not manage to complete -- at least not to my satisfaction. Along came TSW 5 and after buying the basic version I started to explore it. After just a few launches, I figured out how to silence the introductory noise that replaces the actual musical intro of earlier TSW versions. With that out of the way, I headed for familiar routes, quickly discovering that I had forgotten a lot -- including some of the most elemental processes, so for a while (a very brief while), I headed to the tutorials. That was a couple of weeks ago and my 80-year-oldbrain is still experiencing enough frustration that I've ordered another ship kit. Will these two hobbies be able to exist side-by-side? And if not, which will eventually dominate? P.s.: is there a way to avoid opening Steam before TSW5 launches?
Normally, I'd root for Train Sim World to win, but wooden-ship-model-building sounds so cool! Having to paint and assemble them and then you can put them on a display cabinet for all your friends to see. Co-existing sounds nice, but it's more likely you'll bounce back and forth between ships and trains on a regular basis. (At least, that's probably what I would do). No, Train Sim World 5 will not launch without Steam launching first.
open steam first. then close the page plus the small advert window before opening the game, steam will continue in the background.
