Now that we can Hop at Hagen, is it not time to extend Letmathe into Iserlohn ? Letmathe is on two lines. Later we really need to get to Lennestadt-Altenhunden beyond Finnentrop which is where this line meets its big challenges up to Kreuztal and Siegen. At Siegen we have the Main-Sieg Express to Frankfurt over Gießen. Gießen lost out to Fulda for the ICE to Kassel, but remains a great jumping off rail spot in Hessen.
Most of our run is along the Lenne ... we would only reach the Sieg far past Finnentrop and SE of Kreuztal at Weidenau, almost at Siegen. At Siegen the Rhein-Sieg Express takes us to Köln ... were we could HOP !
Ruhr Sieg Nord could use so much more love for the beautiful route it is. Till this day it still stands strong.
