Hi guys, this is (hopefully) just a simple question to answer:
I was wondering if I can use an existing route in the editor and remaster it in a different time period...
I'll give you an example: The Linke Rheinstrecke is set in the 90s and in the modern day many stations, most notably Mainz Hbf have significantly changed but the line itself is pretty much unchanged maybe except for sidings here and there
So is it possible to copy track, landscape layouts etc. from the exisitng route? I know from the FAQ that it is not possible to just edit a route but by my understanding I can reuse the assets like buildings etc thus I wondered if I could also transfer the aforementioned assets...

From the example a comparison between the states of the old and new station:

I was looking into this and it seems you can only add extra assets as layers but you can't remove or modify existing assets.

I was hoping you could copy a route or part of a route and edit it like you can in train simulator. But I've been told this is not possible.
