    I've installed the following scenario:

    https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...ios/i2961-mg17-2b12-1640-fort-william-mallaig

Relatively straightforward requirements, including the Class 27 Eastfield Deport RFletcher reskin:

    https://dpsimulation.org.uk/rf72locomotives.html

I followed the instructions, but came unstuck with this instruction in the ReadMe, after installing the rwp:

    3. Go to the folder: (Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG)
and run the 'InstallMeED27TOPS' batch file.

There is no 'InstallMeED27TOPS' batch file anywhere - I searched the folder and nothing comes up.

The scenario works, in that I can drive the train, but there's no loco visible of course, because the install process couldn't be completed. What can I do - is there an error in producing this file, or is it in some different location?

Separate from the reskin, regarding the route signalling, I came across a red signal withough alert before the level crossing on approach to Banavie, not on the HUD, and no number plate. I SPADed but no recognition by the game. Is this signal an error?

    Here it is (green now):

Aha, the batch file you are looking for is actually located in the following folder (having explored the rwp):

    Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\

Looks like the readme has pointed you to the wrong folder hence why you couldn't find it :)

Bat file is actually called InstallMe27Blue01.bat

Thank you so much, Rob. Perfect timing!

I had searched my whole computer for that filename, and came up blank, so had no idea to search for that alternative filename and location.

    A very happy Inversnecky now!

Glad it's all working well. Enjoy the run. I've done it myself and thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Will need to see if the download can be updated with the correct info.

How did you know the correct file name and path, Rob? Have you some inside knowledge?

Running it again, I see there’s a distant board that sets off the AWS ahead of that signal now.

No idea why it didn’t do that first time. The stop signal still not on the HUD though.

what i tend to do and this seems to work for me 99 percent of the time. When i download a reskin etc i will open the zip file up and go through the folders then see where in the root the batch file is then come out the zip go back in and copy paste the files over then navigate manually to where the batch file was located when looking and 99 percent of the time it will install perfectly. Sometimes read me can be wrong which throws the theory of "read the manual" out the water :D:D:D:D:D

This is a good Idea as you can also see the Folder that the items are in.
So you know what to tick when you want to place the items in the game.
I use the same method as above.

And you can read a batch file in 7zip, before doing anything. If you navigate to where you have placed the reskin rar/rwp file. Open the bat file in view/edit in 7zip and you can read what the instructions are before you actually go ahead and click on it when you're in the Assets folder, that way you can see if it copies and pastes the cabview GeoPcDx, or anything else, as well as the engine shape file into your reskinned locomotive, so you know what to check has happened when you have automatically installed everything, just assuming that the batch file only moves the engine GeoPcDx across has caught me out in the past.

My pleasure, I didn't know you could delete folders/files from inside an .AP file and leave it intact, in 7zip either, although they will get put back in if you do a verify, lots of little things we pick up as we go along.
