For all the information, view our RhB Arosa Aggregates Pack, Out Now article!
    (Direct link: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/rhb-arosa-aggregates)

Train Sim World 4: RhB Arosa Aggregates Pack
Passenger & freight often combine on RhB rails into dual-purpose operations. All-new Swiss stone-laden services will be available to master through the mountains of Train Sim World: Arosalinie, which is required, along with Train Sim World 4, in order to make use of this pack.

Included are the FAC wagon and two new Ge 4/4 ii liveries:
    • No. 622 Hakone Tozan Railway, commemorating the Rhätische Bahn’s Japanese partner.
    • No. 629 Neubau Albulatunnel, celebrating the construction of the new Albula tunnel.

Train Sim World 4: RhB Arosa Aggregates Pack will release on all platforms today, Tuesday 21st November for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for €11.99/$14.99/£9.99*

*£9.49 on the PlayStation Store (EU / USD prices on PS remain as above).

Train Sim World Compatible: Arosalinie: Chur – Arosa
For those yet to experience the route, it is available for Train Sim World 4 as Train Sim World Compatible content.

Nestled high in the Swiss peaks, the Arosa Line winds its way along mountain ridges and across towering valleys, while also squeezing through the streets of Chur. A vital passenger route, granted, but also among the mix is a series of rail-served industries, including an aggregate terminal sat just outside of Arosa station.

The RhB Ge 4/4 ii is a classic metre-gauge locomotive, well suited to the task of hauling trains through the Swiss mountains.

Train Sim World Compatible: Arosalinie: Chur – Arosa is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for €29.99/$29.99/£24.99

Edinburgh - Glasgow: Engineering Express Pack Update
When we announced the two gameplay packs from Rivet Games in November's Roadmap, we had planned to release the Edinburgh - Glasgow: Engineering Express Pack for the ScotRail Express Edinburgh - Glasgow route Add-on, alongside the Arosa Aggregates Pack. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be releasing this content today. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

When we have a release date, we will share it with you. Thanks for your patience and understanding, and we hope you enjoy the RhB Arosa Aggregates Pack.

Glancing at the pictures I was thinking about maybe getting this, because it does look fun. Then I remembered that this is TSW4 only... So whatever.

All new content is for TSW4 now. If you want any of it you will need to buy TSW4. It’s your own choice to miss out on anything new. There’s no need to tell the rest of us about it.

How about the timetable, is it a new one or does it add services in the existing 24h tt?

Just to avoid any confusion as to what this pack offers:

This pack will feature two new liveries (Hakone Tonzan railway & Neubau Albulatunnel) and the brand-new RhB FAC wagon alongside a new timetable and 5 new scenarios for you to master!

If anyone buys this I‘d like to know if the carriage sounds are fixed yet.

Jasper from Rivet mentioned they‘d been reworked but that was on the Bernina thread, so I assume the new sounds will come when that releases.

Also, do the new liveries have rail driver support. I remember that the last livery pack didn’t (at least at launch - not sure if it was fixed).

For me relevant, does the new timetable also use timberwagons and the anniversarry liveries?

It's also DTG's choice to maybe offer TSW4 starter packs so I am not forced to buy any of the core TSW4 routes that I don't want just to play stuff I would actually be interested in.

Worked for TSW3 as well, could work here as well. But in no way I am paying for the core TSW4 routes when I don't want them just to BE ABLE to buy other add-ons.

I am not missing out on much because I can continue playing TSW3 - but they are missing out on add-on sales.

Back to some route related conversation, I wonder how well this route has sold, considering this is now its second DLC.

From what I recall it had a rough launch with the scenery, loco physics & carriage sounds.

I csnf see that this pack offers anything for the timetable either? I’m wondering if this was a training exercise for new staff at Rivet.

Will not be buying unless the routes poor mountain scenery is improved!
This would have been a great opportunity to right a wrong. Chur - Arosa should have been a stunning route with great scenery and turned out to be quite the opposite.

I have to say I so far feel cheated after buying the RhB Arosa Aggregates Pack. It is only 54mb and costs £9.99. For a wagon and two locomotive liveries and no new timetable. I would think £4.99 is a more realistic price. I will probably ask for a refund. Don’t be a sucker too.

So what now? Snapattack said there's a new timetable - is there or not?

There’s a 3rd timetable on the far right, and there’s passenger services with an aggregate wagon on it, etc

Edit: idk why it shared 3 images but I am phone posting right now and the more I go back and try to remove the 2 duplicates the more I want to yeet the phone off my balcony

In addition i would like to know if there is a combined use of the timberwagon in the new timetable? I remember they left it out in the original tt and added freight services in the new anniversary timetable with the christmas car etc.

In game it appears that the timetable spread goes like this:
    • anniversary timetable - 94 services
    • Original - 84 services
    • “Vehicle Pack 02” timetable - 98 services

I don’t see any timber-specific services in this timetable. A bit of a miss if you ask me. I loaded up some freight services as well but it’s just aggregate wagons.

Also for anyone who wants to know why the heck anyone would buy an Arosa pack: I kinda like Arosa. It’s like a dog that’s ugly but cute at the same time. It’s not a good route imo. The mountains look awful. But winter is coming and it’s pretty fun to be virtually sledding a down a 6% grade in a snowstorm while I’m inside sipping a hot coffee. All I need is some fresh baked cookies and I’m golden.

Agreed. I don't understand why both this and the previous Aniversary Pack had to be separate timetables instead. I understand that space is somewhat limited on the line, but there still are plenty of unused sidings and passing loops, so I think it would have been doable to fit all in one.

Arosa would be an amazing route if they improved on the scenery. Imagine it with LIDAR mountains... the rest of the scenery then would be fine, maybe it could use some better road textures for winter with tyre tracks in the snow, but that's all. And a fix for the GE 4/4 physics and with all of these add-ons you would have yourself a perfect, lovely route.

I think the only thing I find remotely interesting is that the Rhätische Bahn has a partnership with a Japanese Railway, and that Railway allowed their name to be used in TSW.

I then looked up the Hakone Tozan Railway and line.

Sadly I don't think that's a possibility for a TSW route due to only being 15km. Though the 8% grade and the various switchbacks are interesting.

I doubt the approval of the Hakone Tozan Railway was needed, since the livery itself is the property of RhB.

And why would 15km be a problem? Isle of Wight is very short as well, yet it was not an issue, they sold the route even twice!

Japanese partner? Take my money! (i know that it's just the livery but so good to see a first mention of that country ANYWHERE in TSW!)

Am at a loss as to understand why this add-on is for TSW4 when the route harks back to TSW2.
Doesn’t affect me personally as I have v4 on all platforms, but curious why the pack is not available to TSW2 and TSW3 customers?

This is what I don't understand either. The aggregate freight car has been leaked way back in the TSW2 times... They sat on them for a while and now release them for TSW4 only, right before releasing another Swiss route that will probably banish Arosa into the shadow realm due to the difference in scenery quality.

It would make sense to make this a TSW4 thing only if Arosa at least got a well deserved update with fixes, new lighting and improved scenery. As it is now, who would want to buy a freight car pack for a route that has wonky physics and looks like this?

In all seriousness too, they have set precedent for releasing super short routes at a lower rate. Like Glossop.

I’d be down for a short quirky route in the Japanese mountains with 8% grades for like 20 bucks or so.

Because they can't support 3 separate games. Each is their own game.

There are other dlcs that have been released for the newer version of the game. Like the 363 being released in tsw2 when the route is from tsw2020. So why is arosa line being singled out?

Two class 66 liveries (drs, one) and an emergency coupler to haul 385s. Think about the rog 37 dlc. Same idea.

Probably the same reason they released the anniversary pack for Arosa last year for TSW3.

You dont have to buy the base games you don't own because the routes are compatible across all versions after they are released.

At this moment TSW4 is being sold as well, and obviously so are old TSW2020 and TSW2 add-ons.

Nah. The TSW4 basegame just does not offer enough right now. A bunch of features barely or not at all working, and three routes that are far from the best.

I've never seen an addon milked to it's limits. When are Rivet Games going to realize that Arosa Line in it's current state is COMPLETELY unacceptable, instead of making this "gameplay packs" why not take the opportunity to also fix the amount of glaring issues like the utter LOVE sounds(God it sounds like a Broken AC) and horrible scenery. But no, this pack exists
