Hello, as we all know, Rivet Games will release a new swiss route within the next 1-3 months after release of TSW4. What do you think which route it is? And why do you think that? Would you rather want narrow or standard gauge? [And please, don't rant about Rivet, there are enough threads where you can do that. I just want to know what people are interested in as new route ]
I am hoping it will be another RhB… Either Bernina Line but in its entirety from St Moritz to Tirano, or part of the Albula Line. Montreux Oberland Bernois would also be nice. Main line wise either the Gotthard or Lotschberg routes in the classic era would be nice, though I suspect what we get will be modern. Just please not another short commuter route emanating from one of the cities.
Something like this… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SBB-CFF-FFS_Re_420 But in the original green livery.
I would rather see some standard gauge line through some interesting scenery, but I'll take narrow gauge as well. It's most likely going to be a route that can use the existing stock. Rivet would be shooting themselves in the foot if they released yet another route with a single train.
Isn’t this the big brother of the GE 4/4, I would like to see something like that, however with physics that aren’t borked. I was also thinking of this (it actually replaced your suggestion) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SBB-CFF-FFS_Re_460 Honestly anything loco hauled will do me, TSW has started to feel too commuter focused for me.
My guess is that it will be the Bernina Line with the ABe 8/12 RhB Allegra train. And the next gameplay pack 2 from Rivet will add Allegra services to the Arosa route.
CH is short for Switzerland. The letters CH stand for the Latin name for Switzerland – Confoederatio Helvetica They use the Latin name due to the various languages used in Switzerland.
Most likely a standard gauge SBB route, a few months back Jasper said in another thread that they didn't want to make another mountainous route until they have a better distant scenery system in place. Basically they want much better distant mountain scenery then Arosa without their being a big impact on performance.
I want to see it with my own eyes first, at least on today's livestream. But it looks to be a promising solution for distant terrain that could open new possibilities for Rivet.
When Arosa released, the LIDAR tech wasn't there. But now it is. And I think this might help Rivet a lot. Personally, I hope for an Alegra EMU. Other than Luzern-Sursee the Arosa Line feels "complete". That's why I hope for another RhB route. Because I think another standard gauge SBB route could be as incomplete (service-wise) as Luzern. Yet, if they do standard gauge, I hope they recreate the Gotthard route they did in TSC. That's one of their best TSC routes.
