As the title says. Speculate away! Personally I think Rivet games's route will be Edinburgh Waverly to North Berwick with the Class 380 and maybe the Class 385. A short route for a small company. 19 Miles and 32 Minutes. I'd say this is something we could expect from rivet games because of the size of the route. Let me know your thoughts below.
I think it is Edinburgh Waverley/Glasgow Queen Street to Dunblane/Alloa as it is local to them, being based in Stirling
Considering currently it feels like there porting a lot of tsc routes, I could see Suburban Glasgow Northwest or a route like it come to TSW3 using the recent trends.
I hour 10 mins journey time and 26 miles to Alloa. Not to far but a long service. It seems unlikely seen as TSW services don't seem to last more than an hour
That seems very likely at the moment but I hope it's not. Rivet games said the photo of Partick was NOT a hint so maybe it isn't that. Otherwise they might not have been so hard on saying wither it's a hint or not
Well....... BML on a stopper service can take upwards of an hour depending.. Especially signals existing.
Yea, that would be nice. I just think a better choice of trains would be better and not ones just like CCL. I'd only like it if it has the Class 158, Class 385 or Class 380. None of those trains seem particularly likely though
It would be nice to see something from Glasgow in order to tie in with Cathcart circle somehow, Glasgow to Edinburgh perhaps
Hopefully it comes with some units that run in/out of Glasgow Central so that Cathcart will become a bit more populated
US freight services often take more than 1 hour, that's what I mean by they are weeping in the corner at your comment lol
Does anyone know when rivet or dovetail might annonce this route as I remember them saying around BCC.
Imagine if it turns out it's not Scottish and it's a London underground route. That would be really annoying
ASSUMING its Scottish its likely either suburban (TSC port) or Glasgow-Edinburgh. Or it could be something else, you never know.
Why would anybody buy it if it was another Glasgow suburban route? We've got one of those and it should at least be Glasgow to another town/city, preferably with sprinters etc
Glasgow South Western Glasgow - Kilmarnock - Ayr - Stranraer Class 156 72 Miles Very Scenic and Coastal!
I'd rather see a longer distance route (Glasgow to Edinburgh being a good tsw length) or even ayr/Kilmarnock with something that's not just another emu
We deffo need another Scottish route, Cathcart is a bit of a let down I feel, but we also need a good Welsh route now I reckon.
Yea, I agree. But it has to have a decent selection of trains. Or a decent train. Class 380, Class 385, Class 156, Class 158. And it should be a good lenth
Define long distance, Rivet has done a nearly 70 mile route in tsc and recently they have been stepping out of there comfort zone, not to mention a network route would still be long in track length just wouldn't feel long.
So far. Most the long distance TSW routes have been made by DTG. All of the Rivet Games routes haven't been very long at all for TSW. I mean... Look at Arosa Line. Very short. But they have been working on this route for a while so maybe it is a longer route then we think...?
Here's another question: What is more important, Pure length or Amazing and hyper realistic Scenery and sound? Obviously a route can have both but.... With the DTG routes it does seem to be a one or the other with all due respect to them.
Amazing Hyper Realistic Scenery and Sound! 100% I have to agree with you there. Though rivet games made WCL look like a route in Scotland so they aren't that good ethier
Speakng of which, I was doing a timetable rn today on BCC and I was stuck at a signal somewhere near the m6 and the ambient sound was amazing.
OH! That makes more sense... It feels Scottish? I always felt like it did feel northern but not Scottish? Albeit rivet is a Scottish based company (I think)
