Just realised that the roadmap has a new RIVET train DLC coming soon, anyone have any guesses on what it could be? Personally I hope its a 158 or 159 for the West Cornwall route
Some have speculated it would be a class 484. My prediction is that it will be full of bugs, inaccurate physics and poor sounds. Although I hope my prediction is completely wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if I was right considering what happened with the Class 150
If it's the Class 484 Expect the usual bugs incorrect physics which is what Rivet Games is known for. Spoiler: IOW Class 484 This multiple unit was blurred out during a stream for Luzern Sursee
Is it the 484 they said they would have to change the route etc to accommodate on the route like real life unless they have done that
Whatever it is, it'll be unfinished and once Rivet decide they're done working on it, we'll still be asking for fixes on issues it has. Prove me wrong Rivet, prove.me.wrong. Until then, this pretty much sums Rivet up.
I keep seeing this said, but DLGW, 38 LU stock & WCL all exist and are a mix of era’s. 2 of those are from Rivet, so I think it’s not only possible, but highly likely that a 484 would just be dropped into the current route.
Yeah ! A new bugged train from Rivet with poor sounds and inaccurate physics, let’s not forget about the low poly objects inside the cab
I predict the deltic for SoS. The era of SoS is towards the end of steam and I'm sire Deltics weren't too far away. Given how much the community asks for the Deltic, it makes sense
The Deltics were built from 1961-62 for the East Coast Main Line, so they aren't appropriate for SoS. The prototype Deltic was built in 1955 and it was used on the WCML for a few years, but by 1958 it was East Coast based. Plus, it's literally only one locomotive. If a Deltic was added to SoS I would quite literally eat my hat.
I feel somewhat disappointed that it's likely the Class 484. Of all the routes in TSW2 I think Isle of Wight is the one that's least in need of new stock. The route feels complete with the 38 Stock, while other routes are crying out for more variety. And as others have pointed out, the travesty that is Rivet's 150 doesn't give me much hope.
They’d be better making the timetable more achievable - it’s a mad dash, when it really shouldn’t be.
