[resolved] Riviera Mastery Locked To Voyager Owners Only

I just noticed the masteries have appeared for the TSW6 core routes. The first step of the Riviera mastery is "complete 2 scenarios involving the Voyager Class 220", so anyone who doesn't shell out the extra for the Voyager included in the Deluxe edition won't get to unlock the posters or scenary tile.

I said in another thread on this very same topic that most Riviera purchasers are probably also going to get the Voyager anyway, but I do agree it's a bad choice for those small numbers who don't get the Voyager.

(I wonder if they did it on purpose to make people end up buying it if they didn't or weren't going too.

Honestly would have rather paid, I truly hate that mode because it’s just not accurate to the real job, I’m currently planning on being one in real life

At least buying the Voyager isn't required for mastery - that was pretty much forcing people to buy it even if they didn't want to (although the majority would probably buy it anyway).

 

I still don't understand what mastery is or how it works despite hundreds of hours in the game lmao.

If you go to the Dovetale Live section in game, look at masteries to see what you need to do on a route, most routes have 2 tiers to complete, when completed you unlock a scenary tile, also from the Dovetale Live section.

Some are really good, heritage loco on display, a new station under construction, some are novelty rather than realistic, UFO, sea monsters etc, each one can be individually switched on so if you don't like the look of one you can just turn it back off again.
