This may be of interest to people here if you're interested in Titanic, ocean liners, boats, or just simulated pretty things. It's a demo of a 3D model of RMS Titanic made by 'Titanic: Hope and Glory'. A demo has been around a while but it just got an upgrade to Unreal 5 and some additional areas and detail added and it has to be said, it is an impressive simulation of the ship. https://www.titanichg.com/project-401 The basics of what is currently available are: A 3D model of the titanic using Unreal engine 5, interior and exterior. I do not believe it supports VR but I may be mistaken. The free demo, linked above, has just been updated to Unreal 5, it allows players to explore around 50% of the ship which includes most internal and external public areas such as promenades, dining saloons, smoking rooms etc, as well as some privates areas such as passengers and crew cabins, the bridge, and boiler rooms. The detail is actually off the chart, if you have a good PC there are moments when it looks photorealistic. If you've an interest in ocean liners generally, or this particular one, it's a very faithfully recreated model that gives a good opportunity for exploration and enjoying some of the stuff that's never made it into the films. Here's a very short clip I recorded just now of one of the more well known areas: For context: The story behind 'Titanic: Hope and Glory' is a bit of an odd one, it has been going on for almost a decade at this point. It began with group of hobbyists who came to significance when they made a real-time Titanic sinking video around one of the anniversaries of the sinking, which got a lot of attention and as a result they started taking large amounts of crowdfunding money to build a video game which is yet to materialise and therefore has led to some controversy over the years as what they said they'd deliver vs. what they have been delivering seems to be a point of contention with people who contributed large amounts of money. The plans for a video game still seem to be around, though personally I can't see how this topic would make a good or tasteful video game, but I appreciate the 3D model, it does give some amazing insight into the ship itself.
