Hi all, just wondered when the next roadmap might come out. I thought it was fortnightly updates but nothing so far today.
Would be good to have an update on some of the issues raised and any potential updates.

Not only is it updated on the website, its a pinned post in the "Dovetail Live Article Discussion" sub section and on their social media channels. These fortnightly roadmap updates does not mean an update to the game will also come the same day.

The roadmap is indeed available now, as linked above. Meanwhile, here are some more misunderstandings to clarify:
    • "Next Release" does not mean it will release before the next roadmap update.
    • Different types of development will take different lengths of time to complete; something "In Planning" in one roadmap may reach "Next Release" by the next one. Similarly something may spend several months "In Production".
    • Just because something doesn't move through the ranks doesn't mean work hasn't been done. Everything on the list is actively being worked on. Until work is being done it does not appear on the roadmap.
I might have said this would take a few months for you to fully click with how it updates. I'll likely need to make a similar clarification for the next few roadmap updates as well, this is fine and normal.

Thank you for the replies and kind help. I didn’t see it on social media but will know where to look next time.

And it remains massively disappointing for me. No mention of fixes for the myriad of core game issues that exist.

This roadmap is like someone buying all kinds of kit for a car, all the while knowing it’s got a knackered tired engine up front under all the gloss. You can keep chucking lipstick at the pig, but sooner or later you have to address the fact that it’s a pig.

No the disappointment arises with peoples expectations.
Even 2trillion microsoft with all their coders are pumping out patches for their core win10 engine.
Dovetail has circa 150 employees and you seek immediate perfection.

I’m grateful for when it just works and I’m immersed in the moment.
As I remember playing flight sim in Dos with black & white graphics.

This is why I don’t have TSW 2 yet
I want to see if they have learned from there mistakes

I don’t seek, or expect, immediate perfection. Far from it. However, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that a game that is now not a million miles away from its 4th birthday might have had bugs and problems that existed on day 1 addressed by now. These issues are acknowledged but are not even on the list.

It’s even more concerning when problems solved previously are back again.

Core issues and bugs (a plenty) are what I would like to be seen to too.

It was said, however, that that the current items on the roadmap, such as preserved collection, would need to be seen to first before any core fixes and improvements can be seen to by the team. So I wouldn’t expect anything in the core to be touched for a fair while, unfortunately.

I haven't really noticed many bugs. Some of the Sandpatch ones are on the roadmap.

There's all the old ones which remain in preserved content, which won't be fixed as its ported over to TSW 2. GWE for example has loads of bugs, which haven't been fixed in years.

But that's preserved content. I was referring to new routes and core.

To save you the trouble of looking I’ve made a a whole thread on everything I’ve spotted so far, purely with TSW2 and it’s routes.
