I've brought the Ashford to st pancreas route! I'm wondering if there's a possibility in extending the route from st pancreas, Ashford then from Ashford to Folkestone west and central To Ramsgate I've attached a map for extension ideas
Anything is possible but dtg have stated they won't add anything else to southeastern high speed so other routes get a chance
Nope. Not happening. They extended it once (this route was originally released for TSW2 but without the Ebbsfleet to Ashford and Dartford to Gravesend bits), and won't do again. Any more Southeastern routes will be stand alone.
Also DTG said they were taking a long hiatus from any further south of the Thames third rail routes. TBH what I’ve seen of the rest of the route(s) in TSC whether on towards Dover etc. or the classic route into London, doesn’t add much to the experience. Just more electric bus stopping.
Wasn't really worth buying then was it lol I was really looking forward to driving highspeed from Ashford to Ramsgate! But if they don't have licence and there not touching southeastern high-speed now. Then that's understandable! I get the understanding there not updating southern route either?
Idon't think it's a lack of license. Back in TSW2 we had a fair few London and Southern Region releases in a short space of time (East Coastway, Bakerloo, SEHS, Brighton Mainline) and there was community backlash as it was felt they were ignoring the rest of the country and just doing what's local to them, there was no diversity. They seem to have overreacted and not touched the SR since. Nevertheless a route from Ashford to Ramsgate would be a separate release.
It's worth the money. Decent length, decent trains (many layers from other routes), decent timetables (there's never a dull moment and there's seasonal services throughout the route). The only other routes that outshine it (in my opinion) are JT's two routes. Just because it doesn't go to Ramsgate (which it tells you) doesn't mean it's not worth it. Length isn't everything.
Agree, this route is really worth a purchais. With all dlcs and layers, the variety is huge. I prefere extended routes over the shortcut called "route hopping". But better than nothing.
