The Route between Hannover Hbf and Wolfsburg is full of action. Starting from the big Centralstation in Hannover with lots of Platforms and nice view of the City further there are running S Bahn services to Lehrte and Celle, The S3, S6 and S7. Between Ahlten and Lehrte is the big Freight Hub from DB for Cargo Trains. The first Regional station after Hannover is Lehrte and has Connection to the S3, S7 and RE 30, RE 60 and RE 70. From Lehrte are ways to Braunschweig via Peine, S Bahn to Celle via Lehrte and the main Route to Wolfsburg. As for the long distance Service there are running IC Lines between Amsterdam and Berlin and ICE lines to connect East- and West Germany. All Stations: Hannover Hauptbahnhof (S,RB,RE,IC,ICE) Hannover Kleefeld (S3, S7) Hannover Karl-Wiechert Allee (S3, S7, S6) Hannover Anderten-Misburg (S3, S7) Ahlten (S3, S7) Lehrte (S3, S7, RE30, RE60, RE70) Splits: Aligse (S7, S6), Sehnde (S3), Hämelerwald (RE60, RE70) Main Route: (Lehrte) Immensen-Arpke (RE30) Dollbergen (RE30) Dedenhausen (RE30) Meinersen (RE30) Leiferde (b Gifhorn) (RE30) Gifhorn (RE30, RB47) Calberlah (RE30) WOB-Fallersleben (RE30) Wolfsburg Hbf (RE30, IC, ICE) Mostly used Railcars: S Bahn: (Old: BR425/424 | New: Stadler FLIRT 3XL) RE 30: (Old: BR112 N-Wagen / BR425 | New: BR 1440) RE 60/70: (Old: DB 146 Dostos | New: Stadler Kiss) IC: IC Hannover-Stendal: Twindexx + 146.2 IC Amsterdam-Berlin: BR101 + IC1 Vagons ICE: ICE 1 BR401 (9V, 11V) ICE 2 BR402 (7V, 14V ICE T BR411 ICE 4 BR412 (7V. 12V, 13V, 14V) and a lot of Different freight Trains from all directions to the Mega Hub in Lehrte.
Hannover-Berlin including Wolfsburg would be much better and would include Berlin as a great source for multiple trains and layers
Hannover-Berlin is over 250km long, which is way too long for a single route. Also, the Berliner Stadtbahn, which would be a must for this route, is really hard to build, due to the many details you'll get by driving directly through the city.
It should still be possible, since DTG updated TSW 3 to be able to process extrem long routes do to the spawning perfomance
Technically yes, financially? Kassel-Würzburg has the advantage that the route has many long tunnels, which are easy and fast to build. Hannover-Berlin has only one "tunnel", the underpass under the Elbe Lateral Canal (Elbe Seitenkanal). So you can't argue that this route could be longer than the current average, with which you'd need 3 separate DLCs to have the entire route. So if they'd do it as one massive DLCs you be looking at a ~60-80€ DLC, to make the effort needed pay out. I don't think many players would buy a route for that price, even if it is a really long one. I really don't think DTG or any other partner will make the entire route to Berlin in the foreseeable future (next 10 years).
Excellent Idea and why not extend it to the former East Germany at Obisfelde since Wolfsburg was an Inner German Border station 40 years ago.
This route could be created with the Editor, so there shouldn't be a discussion of if the route is financially worth to create if someone likes to create this route fron scratch, but the effort on creating this route may be extremely high
