As an enhancement to route hopping introduced with TSW5, here are a few ideas to improve this feature.

    1.) Route hopping with loco/formation.
Would be neat if the player would not need to abandon a certain loco or formation and spawn it in route B after you've hopped. While one can spawn a loco/formation with the spawn feature introduced with TSW4, formations created just within in a session require to be created from scratch again. In case of some locos the setup process could also be tedious to redone. Think of the expert 101 for example.

Would be nice if we could have an option to hop routes with a loco/formation, without the need to set it up again, and run a loco seamlessly from route A to route B.

    2.) Continuing service
This is actually point 1.) with the advance of continuing a service which in reality reaches of route A over to route B and continues its service on this route. An example: An ICE service from Frankfurt to Fulda of the Kinzigtalbahn DLC, then you hop over to Kassel-Würzburg DLC and continue the service from Fulda to Kassel.

3.) Choose a timetable service of route B
When a player hops from route A to route B, would be cool if the player directly could select a service in the route hop menu to take in route B. Why? Imagine you finished a service in route A and then want to play another service in route B. So you use the new route hopping feature but you either are too soon or missed the service you wanted to overtake.

Since we have no time-travel feature in TSW to jump at the right time, this could be avoided by selecting a timetable service from route B, just by hopping in.

4.) Ability to change wheather and time of day
It's very cool that the time of day and wheather remains the same when hopping routes. However, what if a player doesn't want that and maybe while using the easy transition from route A to route B via the new route hopping feature, wants to play route B in quite a different setting. Maybe a bit more rain/sun or a bit more darker sky, when you choose a service in the afternoon for example and now want to play in a evening or night setting.

I want to second the wish especially for your points 1 to 3.

I have done two changes now from KWG to FTF with the intention to carry on the same service towards Frankfurt. I missed my own train in one instance, as it simply took me too long to walk to the hopping point and back, while still completing the first service, as it always wants me to wait to load the passengers and close the doors.

Cheated the second time by walking over the tracks… but the immersion is gone at that point;) and it still was a close call…

Was going to make a suggestion of my own, but found this old thread.
I really think being able to carry services over to another route would be really cool. I would assume it would need some work on timetables to make them compatible, but it would be amazing if, when ending a service, you immediately got an option to hop to the connected service on another route. Ideally, it would even be able to carry over any delays, as well as the position of switches in the cab, etc., a bit like a save game.
Although to be honest, this feels like such an obvious progression that it will probably be a TSW6 feature anyways.
