The route hopping feature is a nice feature but why not take it even further and route hop between airports? So imagine driving a GX bound for Gatwick airport and then when you’re done with the service you can route hop to Frankfurt S-bahn route in Frankfurt Airport then take a train to Frankfurt Hbf and then route hop again to Frankfurt Fulda route, see it would create a lot of opportunities in Tsw 5!
That would certainly be fun! Even better would be to "game hop" to Microsoft flight sim and fly the plane as well.. One can only imagine
The airports we have are as follows: EWR in New York - Trenton LGW in London - Brighton MME in Tees Valley Line (do we want to fly back to the past?) FRA in the upcoming S-Bahn route MAN in the upcoming Manchester route You could make a case for JFK in LIRR, but that requires a transfer to the AirTrain JFK (which at $8,50 is a ripoff) Maybe DTG wants to bring the S2 to Riesa Dresden ? I hope that you change timezones when route hopping between airports!
Also Edinburgh Airport (Edinburgh Gateway on Fife Circle and a Tram Ride away from Edinburgh Park on EDN), Arguably Glasgow Airport with Cathcart Circle (only accessible by road, buses leave from Glasgow City Centre near Queen Street irl), Heathrow on GWE ("Heathrow" services will come with the remaster) Not exactly direct connections but quite justifiable.
Me personally I want direct connections only (shuttle bus maximum from the closest station). You'd have more of a case with Glasgow Airport if we had an Inverclyde or Ayrshire Coast Line route, and the hop would be done at Paisley Gilmour Street.
Or take a plunge into the deep dark world of AI-Only portals and see how long you last before the void (main menu) is upon you :S Until we do I see no reason that GLC/GQS aren't linked - there's a bus route from Glasgow Airport which stops near both Central and Queen Street.
A walk many of us made back in the day more than a few times. Arrive Central 2210 off the 1700 ex Euston with a quick dap across to Queen Street for the 2330 overnight to Inverness.
