I would like to send another Canadian Route proposal to DTG and any other 3rd party dev. I also sent it to Milepost Simulations since he's very big on Canadian routes. Canadian National's 105-mile section from Jasper, AB to Edson, AB or even the entire 185-mile section from Jasper to Edmonton, AB. This route sees multiple freight trains every day, including mixed freight, intermodal, and grain, particularly since Edmonton serves as a major transportation hub. It is also served by VIA Rail's "The Canadian". Prior to The Canadian, the route was served by The Super Continental. The Super Continental was inaugurated by CN on April 24, 1955 before it was taken over by VIA Rail in 1977. The Super Continental was discontinued in 1990 and was succeeded by The Canadian. Between Jasper and Edmonton, The Canadian also serves Hinton, Edson (as a flag stop), and Evansburg. If the route is set in the present day, it shall include the CN Dash 9, the CN ES44AC, the CN SD70M-2, and CN SD75 as primary road power, and maybe the EMD SW1500 switcher. Plus, it shall include the VIA Rail F40PH and rib-sided streamlined coaches. If the route is set in the past, such as the '70's and '80's. It shall include the EMD SD40 (standard cab) and EMD GP38-2W as primary road power, as well as the EMD SW1500 switcher. Plus, it shall include the VIA Rail FP7 or FP9 and streamlined coaches.
A CN ET44AC, C40-8, C40-8W, Wide-Cab SD40-2, GP40-2, and/or GP38-2, SD60 (Spartan and Wide-Cab units), and/or AC44C6M could also be operated on this route. I still want the ET44AC in game. We should also get the CN Heritage ET44ACs and SD70M-2.
Ohh, yeah. If it were set in the present day! Heck, it would be a perfect fit for TBT's CN SD70 and SD60!
