Before I begin this proposal, I would like to make a disclaimer that I am not native to Denmark, nor have I ever been, so there may be pieces of information throughout this proposal which may be slightly incorrect, as it has come from the internet. That being said, I have been really interested in the Danish Rail Network for some time, and have thoroughly enjoyed researching various aspects. It would introduce a brand new country to Train Sim World, along with new stock. The Route: I would like to propose a small collection of routes, which combined would hopefully provide an enjoyable gameplay experience. The routes being: The DSB S-Tog Line C & H The DSB S-Tog Line C begins at the market town of Frederikssund in the North West, and travels through Ballerup into Copenhagen Central and onto Klampenborg. The DSB S-Tog Line H begins at Ballerup and follows the same route into Copenhagen Central station, and finishes at Osterport. Both lines serve Osterport station, and only being 10 minutes outside of Copenhagen Central, the route for Train Sim World would be better ending at Osterport. The line from Frederikssund to Copenhagen is approximately 40km long, taking just under an hour to complete a commuter run, whilst the H line from Ballerup should only take around half an hour. The C Line operates at a frequency of approximately every 10 minutes, and the H line operates approximately every 20 minutes, Monday to Friday only. The DSB S-Tog Line B / BX The DSB S-Tog Lines B & BX operate between Osterport, Copenhagen Central and Hoje Taastrup. Again, this line only takes around half an hour to reach Hoje Taastrup. Again, both lines/services follow the same route, with the BX operating more of a semi-fast run skipping a few stations, in which the regular commuter service stops at all. The B line operates every 10 minutes, and the BX line operates every 20 minutes during rush hour. The DSB Regional-Tog Finally, the DSB Regional line follows the same route as the B and BX lines, however extends that little bit further west into the city of Roskilde. Roskilde is 30km west of Copenhagen City, and is situated on the Danish Island of Zealand. The Stock: The rolling stock for this route would include the 4th Generation S-Train which was introduced in 1996. As mentioned at the beginning of this post, I think this would be a great addition for Train Sim World, as it introduces a new country, a new signalling system to learn (possibly?) and includes a high frequency of commuter and regional services. Once again, despite an enjoyable & extensive research into Danish Railways from a personal interest, I would love to know what, if any, native Danish players think about this suggestion.
