I would like to propose a collection of routes into a combined, small network for Train Sim World. The routes include:

    · Leeds to Bradford Forster Square (13 miles)

    · Leeds to Skipton (26 miles)

    · Leeds to Ilkley (16 miles)

This small network includes 19 stations, and an approximate mileage of 55 miles, and each of these routes operate at a frequency of every 30 minutes. This also brings the modern day Leeds station into the game.

An interesting part of this small network is that trains do not stick to the same line all day. Picking a train at random, that unit operates:
    2V24 11:03 Leeds to Ilkley
    2V27 11:40 Ilkley to Leeds.
    2H38 12:26 Leeds to Skipton
    2H43 13:17 Skipton to Leeds
2P50 14:12 Leeds to Bradford Forster Square
2D62 14:46 Bradford Forster Square to Ilkley

There are also some services throughout the day operating in and out of Leeds Neville Hill depot

The main rolling stock would be the Class 333 EMU, which operates the Bradford Forster Square and Skipton services. The Class 331 EMU operates the Ilkley services. Leeds has the potential to layer in the Class 43 from Midland Mainline, as well as the Class 801 from Doncaster to Peterborough. Beyond Skipton, the line is not electrified, however the line does continue onwards to the famous Settle and Carlisle line. This further opens the possibility for additional steam and diesel hauled railtours.

Great suggestion, I think a network-style route like the Airedale & Wharfedale Lines would work quite well in TSW4 with the Class 333 and/or Class 331 :)

Good suggestion. You could include the Class 158 in Northern livery as a second train for the semi-fast Leeds/Morecambe services and for AI around the Leeds area. The Class 331 if included could also layer onto the Glossop line and for AI on Doncaster to Peterborough.

Another possibility I’ve just thought about is the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. While I highly doubt this heritage line would be added in full to this route if developed, a small section could be built and have AI only services running in and out of Keighley. This could also make further use of Spirit of Steam, Northern Transpennine and Tees Valley layers.

What a good idea, even if it is AI only, it will add that immersion when you are in the Keighley area when you are driving a Northern service to/from Leeds :)
