Personally I would love to see this route - it will provide an entry point for the East Midlands in TSW, which further opens up a variety of available stock. The route is around 45 miles, and includes different stopping patterns, depending on if the service terminates at Birmingham or travels through to Cardiff. Drivers are also required to change cabs at Derby, as the trains reverse. The route in present day is operated by Crosscountry class 170 units, and previously by Central trains. The route includes a fair variety of available action, being: 2 & 3 car service variations, sometimes 4/5 with multiple 170s together. East Midlands services between Nottingham and Derby. Empty stock moves from Nottingham Eastcroft depot, Derby Etches Park depot, and even Central Rivers depot (Burton - which maintains the crosscountry fleet of voyager units) Crosscountry longer distance routes from the North East between Derby and Birmingham, also with varying stopping patterns. Network rail test trains running in and out of Derby. Freight Preferably this route would be set from 2008 onwards, with the full list of possible traction as follows: Class 153/156/158 Sprinter units Class 170 Turbostar units Class 220/221 voyagers (between Derby and Birmingham + the one early morning service from Nottingham) Class 222 Meridian (Empty stock moves between Etches Park, Derby and Nottingham) Class 37 for network rail test trains Class 60/66 for freight As you can see it is quite a lot, and should this route make it to TSW3, I presume it would take a very long time to get all the stock in game, however it would be a good route to drive.
This one of my local routes so an obvious yes from me.. I beileve a while back someone suggested the Crewe to Derby Line aswell
