This is my route suggestion. The route between Berlin Ostbahnhof (East railway station) and Frankfurt (Oder) which is about 80 kilometers or 50 miles long. Frankfurt (Oder) is a city in eastern Germany on the border to Poland on the river Oder.
This is an electrified mainlaine featuring all kind of traffic including international passenger and freight trains.
The route leads over the outskirts of Berlin, dense forests and farmland of the state of Brandenburg.
The starting point at Berlin Ostbahnhof means that heavy urban landscape would be mostly avoided.
Ostbahnhof itself is a big station, followed by the depot of Rummelsburg. There are no other big stations on the way while Frankfurt (Oder) is a middle sized one. There is also a freight station called Oderbrucke adjacent to the border bridge which is also worth to be included.
The rolling stock is partly available, including double deck red DB regional coaches, class 112, 143, 182, 185 locomotives, also upcoming class 232 diesel and many others.
There is also S-Bahn line using third-rail electrical power along the route as far as the city of Erkner.
    This offers further expansion potential.

Why not extend this across the older River into Reppen Repzin Poland if you do this German Democratic Republic era Grenzbahnhof DDR Frankfurt am Oder VR Polen Reppen. You might need to know that a German speaker actually uses the German name for a Polish City because it's hard for them to pronounce the original polish name. Since the game is available in the German language

I have considered that! It would be extremely interesting, but would require implementing Polish signalling additionally.
