The former Santa Fe Seligman Subdivision has changed a lot in the past 15 years. With the merger between the Santa Fe and the Burlington Northern to form the BNSF Railway, new technologies and operating methods have put in place system wide. Beginning in the late 1990's, BNSF began installing CTC on the western portion of the line, from Seligman to Needles. The majority of the former ATSF passing sidings are still in use today, either as storage tracks or as CTC controlled sidings. The old ATSF signals that once graced the western, as well as the eastern portion are now gone, replaced by modern, solid state, traffic light-type signals. While we cannot stop the movement of time and technology, we can surely marvel at the highly efficient piece of railroad the Seligman Subdivision is today.
    • 295 miles of double track, busy main line railroading

    • 20 High Detail Locomotive models, including BNSF GE ES44DC, ES44AC, C44-9W, EMD SD70ACe and GP40M

    • An Amtrak Southwest Chief passenger train set
Over 50 pieces of rolling stock

    • Accurate Cabviews and Physics

    • Daytime and Nightime Cabviews

    • High Quality 44khz Audio

    • Challenging Activities (over 30 total hours in length)

I want this route. I'd like to talk about possible locos and time periods. A 1950s-60s version could be amazing with some fantastic vintage ATSF diesels. Also, the route allows a top speed of 70MPH so players get to drive fast, heavy freights, as well as the Amtrak Southwest Chief or ATSF Super Chief.

You are not going to get more than about 70 miles as a TSW route.
Having driven this section a few times in Run 8, it’s okay but not going to be an attention grabber like Tehachapi or Cajon might be.
