Hi, i think this route would be a sucess, because it´s very suggested by the community. The 7 train is part of the NYC subway and runs between Flushing Main Street, in Queens, and 34th Street-Hudson Yards, in Manhattan. It can run as local or express: when local, it stops at every station (22 stations); when express, it only stops at 18 stations. Those are the bullets for the local and express service. This is the route map. And this is the current rolling stock for the 7 train: There are lots of reason why this would be a great route: -Lots of services (with expresses on the rush hours); -The possibility of creating a conductor role in the game; -It runs underground and overground; -Dovetail already has a partnership with MTA; -This is a highly requested route by the community; -It has a nice view of the city. I also suggest to add the announcements.
NYC Subway not going to happen. DTG have point blank been refused access to the lines and trains for any sort of research, by the operator.
I can’t find the specific thread where Matt commented on it, but essentially where the Subway is concerned, MTA take a much stricter stance on access for simulation research. Of course the irony being the Subway features in TML World Of Subways, BVE and of course Trainz where an extensive collection of models are available on the DLS. In the latter two cases though I suspect little or no heed was paid to licensing matters.
