The Severn Valley Railway is a 16 mile long heritage railway in Worcestershire and Shropshire, England, running from Kidderminster Town to Bridgenorth. Operations started in 1862 running from Hartlebury to Shrewsbury. The line was closed in in the 1963 Beeching Cuts, but the section in between Kidderminster Town and Bridgenorth was converted into a heritage railway. There are eight stations on the line, of which two are "halts" that are usually daylight request stops. The stations are: Kidderminster Town Bewdley Northwood halt Arley Highley Country Park halt Hampton Loade Bridgenorth The railway uses a plethora of steam locomotives, the oldest of which is over 100 years old, as well as many old diesels. These are just my favourites that I want in the route. GWR No. 813 Port Talbot Parkway Built in 1900, this loco is the oldest on the railway. An 0-6-0 tank engine in GWR unlined green livery.
