I quite new to TSC since I mostly play TSW, I dont want to spend many on the assets, I would like to hear some suggeations about which route standalone has better qualities such as lighting, graphic image, I have recently bought Glasgow subway overshap and they are fantastic with the image which I found significantly better than other older, I heard that the Berlin to Leipzig and trent valley has great reputation, are there more routes worth buying? I would like to extend my collection.
Without knowing your interest's to hard to advise; however, if quality of route modelling is the most important then anything standard gauge by Rivet/Thomson can be recommended. Trent Valley is very good, but represents the line as it was in 2014. The real world has changed since then and Rugeley power station no longer exists. I highly rate Konstanz-Villingen Route, which is probably the most consistently good real German route. Im Köblitzer Bergland is fantastic in its modelling, but imaginary. Wherry Lines is also good, if you want a quieter secondary route, but it is all flat. For the US, Feather River Canyon or Stevens Pass would be good choices.
Thanks for the suggestion, by quality I mean the route itself that looks decent without the need for buying assets from a third party, some old routes does have serious flickering OHLE and track on my computer such as ECML and some don't, for example the rwo examples O have mentioned above, might differ ln different compiter set though.
Im Köblitzer Bergland is a very decent route and an asset for some freeware DLCs and for JTs and AP. You could try these two routes on offer. Tehachapi Pass: Mojave - Bakersfield Route Add-On and South Western Mainline both 50% off until May 22nd
I like Canadian Mountain Passes. There's something very special about coming out of a tunnel and looking over the precipice and seeing the tail of your own train going around a bend a few hundred feet down the mountain side!
