So this thread is supposed to be about some routes and locos that I would love to see in TSW4. These are add-ons that are only from my mind and are not actually add-ons that will actually be put into the game (probably). So don't believe that you are expecting to see most of these suggestions in the game. Some of the following add-ons listed here are ones that I think are mandatory to be put in the game due to how popular it is, or is just suggested the most.

Note: Most routes and locos are mainly from the U.K. because I am a British train enthusiast and some British add-on suggestions are some that I would love in the game. There will still be some American, German or other foreign countries of Britain that will be listed here.

You can also list some of your own suggestions here that I might probably like and feature to this list. But don't expect most of your suggestions to be put on the list of suggestions here.

These suggestions are in my opinion and some maybe really off to their route basis. If there are other routes where some locos listed here are mainly at you can suggest it to me and I'll see if I like the suggestion better than my own suggestion.

    1. A4 Pacific loco pack add-on for East Coast Main Line (Union of SA, Bittern, Sir Nigel Greeley, etc.)

Some A4 recommendations are still running and are visible to this day since it's more like a modern rail tour service for the route kind of like Flying Scotsman. I picked East Coast Main Line because Flying Scotsman is there and that with the A4 Pacifics seems very fitting. I didn't feature Mallard for this because Mallard isn't running anymore and it would make sense for it to not be there since it's stabled never to be put into steam again. But don't worry because I did have a suggestion here that makes Mallard fit on for the route.

    2. Duchess of Hamilton and Duchess of Sutherland LMS pack for SOS; Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe (Nickname: Duchess pack)

This is one that I really love and I wish to see it would be a real pack. It also makes sense for it to be on the SOS route because the locos on that route are owned by LMS. Also, Duchess of Hamilton is my all time favorite locomotive because of its streamline design. I also featured Duchess of Sutherland since it would also make sense for the two locos to be on the same route because they have the word 'Duchess' in both of their names. I like to imagine this as a real pack add-on in the game since it makes more sense for the locos to be there.

    3. Swanage Railway route, Locos include: West Country Class, Q1 class, and the T3

I kind of like this one because of the recent news of the T3 barely surviving and avoiding scrap. I also just put this because I just want more British heritage lines in the game because I like old British trains. I featured the West Country Class because Battle of Britain is there and it would be very nice to see that loco in the game. I also put the Q1 class because.. why not, I kind of like the Q1 for some reason and the Swanage Railway kind of mainly focuses on Oliver Bulleid's locomotives and the Q1 used to run there I think.

    4. Yorkshire - Scarborough, Locos include: A4 Mallard and the classic double tender A3 'Flying Scotsman'

See, I told you I would feature Mallard somewhere on this list. Now this route might kind of be empty since there's only one Mallard and one Flying Scotsman. But that's okay since the two are very famous locos and kind of deserve their own routes. I would think of other ideas to sort of fill in the route and add more different locos. But I'm just gonna let locos from different routes just layer on with the route and call it a day. Also, instead of the restored NRM version of the Flying Scotsman, it's going to be the classic one with two tenders. And Mallard will go in there since Flying Scotsman and Mallard are both LNER locos and are both built by Gresley I think.

    5. Big Boy 4014 and 844 pack on the Cane Creek route. (Nickname: The Steam Giants)

This is a wild one, because the two locos on here are both massive and super strong for a steam engine. Lots of American train enthusiasts would probably get really hyped if this was actually going to be featured on the game. Although, that's kind of the goal here, making people really happy for something they really wanted for a really long time. It was kind of hard to decide if the two locos should be on Cane Creek or Sherman Hill. But I just picked Cane Creek because it's more interesting to me for some reason. Although I don't like American freight trains and don't even own Cane Creek. I still love the Big Boy and 844 because they're just so huge and massive and they both just prove that steam is still powerful.

    6. Indian Railways, Locos: WAP-7

Okay so this is just really random and most of you are probably like, "wth is this, I didn't even ask for this". But I featured this on here because I want an interesting route for the first Asian railway line in TSW. Instead of Japan, I chose India because it feels a little underrated for it to be in a simulator. I mean I don't hate on Japanese railways, I just think they're kind of overrated and I'm not really that interested in electric trains. I don't know the exact path that this route might be on because I don't know about India railways. But I'm just gonna leave that to dovetail and see what they can come up with if they ever want to feature this in their game. The stations are probably gonna include New Delhi or Mumbai or something like that. But I don't really know and I'll just let someone who actually knows about Indian Railways decide this. This isn't really part of the reason this should be on the game but I had a dream where this was a route in TSW2020 and was discontinued like the NEC route. That probably made me put this on the list as a suggestion.

    7. City of Truro add-on for West Cornwall

This one is interesting, because I thought of City of Truro being a loco in the game and I didn't know what route it should belong on. But I picked West Cornwall since it's a western route and a GWR steam engine would make sense on this route. I could've picked the GWE route, but I picked West Cornwall since City of Truro isn't really a high speed steam loco. But that's probably just a thing in mind and it probably might be like Flying Scotsman where it's just like a rail tour loco on the route and will just go slower. But I mainly suggest it to be on West Cornwall because it's kind of a slow train (unless it's actually a high speed loco and I just barely know about this loco). I also just put it on the West Cornwall route since there's a station called Truro on the route and the loco is City of Truro.. you know what I mean.

    8. DB BR 10 add-on for Linke Rheinstrecke or Bremen - Oldenburg

Kind of like the Cane Creek and Sherman Hill decision, I couldn't decide which route for this loco to be on. I picked these two routes since the German locos are kind of old in some way. I barely know about this loco and is probably the only German steam loco I know. But I don't know and I wanna say it's still running but I have second thoughts that it's stabled in one place. I kind of just like the design and I kind of like German locomotives in general since I find some of them interesting. But maybe I'm just thinking that and I actually think that this might be a good loco that might make some people happy that it might get featured.

    9. Talyllyn Railway

Another British heritage line, I kind of like the Talyllyn Railway and is probably my favorite heritage railway in general. And also this is an interesting one because the locos on this route are mostly steam and are narrow gauge. If DTG ever happens to have this in TSW4 they're probably just gonna put the steam engines like Talyllyn, Dolgoch, Sir Haydn, Edward Thomas, Douglas, and Tom Rolt. And for the diesels, they're probably just gonna be featured as a loco add-on pack called 'The Narrow Gauge Diesel Pack' or something like that.

    10. NS Netherlands route

I kind of just featured this probably because I really want another foreign country route. But I also just put this on here mainly because the locos in that country are really unique and have a cool design. I like different unique locos so this one is probably one that I might really like if it was actually getting featured in the game. I don't know any of the locos model names or what stations they go to. But I'm probably gonna assume that they mostly go to like Amsterdam or something like that. But again just like that Indian Railways route, I'll just let dovetail decide or just let a person that knows Netherlands' railways lines decide what would be best fitting for a route to be on TSW4.

    11. Scandinavian or Norwegian route.

Okay I'm probably getting a little out of hand with foreign country routes (note: some of the following are mostly gonna be foreign country routes). I kind of like a little northern route with nothing but nature all around. So if this was a route feature possibly being put in the game id probably get a little excited. I've seen some Norwegian locos in some videos or pictures and I kind of like the locos in the country. Also, the following countries are Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, and Norway is probably gonna be my top country suggestion. The route might feature only freight trains since I only saw freight trains in some Norwegian railway videos. But there's probably some passenger trains in the country that I probably missed. Again, I don't know where the stations the trains might go on one TSW route. But my best guess it's probably gonna be from Oslo or something.

    12. Polish route

Another foreign country route again! I think I just like foreign country railways in general. I mainly want steam locos on this route since some steam engine videos I saw that weren't from Britain, Germany, or America are from this country. I'm probably gonna be okay with some electric trains as well or diesels since they probably might interest me as well. I kind of want a border crossing country kind of like Voralberg where it goes from Germany to Austria. But instead of that, I would go for Czechia or Slovakia to Poland. Although, I could've picked Germany, but I kind of just want something different in general.

This is my list for now and I probably will update it once in a while once I find other suggestions or ideas that I might feature on this list. So be aware for more upcoming ideas that I might have in mind that will probably be on this list.

Again, just like before, make sure to put other ideas that I might like on this thread and if I like the idea I might feature it on the list.

For foreign countries and continents, it falls down to whether a license can be obtained or a 3rd party. There's also the editor which could help with those routes where a license isn't able to be obtained.

Correct, I was aware that some countries that I've listed are very limited and may not be featured in the game. Some countries that are involved enemy territory are probably never able to be on this game due to it kind of helping the enemy country. I also don't expect most of the foreign countries that I've listed to be in the game itself because of the area it's in may not be suitable for it being featured in the game and might need a permit to legally put it in the game.
