The British Rail Class 710 Aventra is a type of electric multiple unit passenger train built by Bombardier Transportation for use on the London Overground network. The trains are part of Bombardier's Aventra family. The contract to provide 45 four-car trains was awarded in July 2015 and the trains were originally due to enter service in May 2018, although introduction was delayed until May 2019.[2] London Overground (also known simply as the Overground) is a suburban rail network serving London and its environs. Established in 2007 to take over Silverlink Metro routes,[4] it now serves a large part of Greater London as well as the home countyof Hertfordshire, with 113 stations on nine different routes. This london overground line takes 34 minutes only.
Just did the maths and you could ALMOST do the entire Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport with both Enfield Town and Hertford East branches included. Total track miles is just under 58... Liverpool Street to Hackney Downs Hackney Downs to Cheshunt via Edmonton Green Edmonton Green to Enfield Town branch Hackney Downs to Cheshunt via Waltham Cross Cheshunt to Stansted Airport Hertford East branch comes off just north of Broxbourne
I think the track miles can be kinda ignored when you factor in how many stations there are. The more/less sparse they are the more/less distance in the route. Also the dense scenery in London, however long that lasts for also plays a part.
