Welcome in this thread dedicated to presenting two very interesting Lines in France (especially in West).

I'm french so I will be able to explain precisely these lines with pictures and maps and why it would be perfect for a future DLC.
    So let's start:

As you know there are not many French Routes and Locos in Dovetail Games.
So I come to convince you and I hope to give you the desire to realize some new stuffs.

    First Line Exemple:

    "Ligne T1: Nantes - Châteaubriant"

The "T" lines in France are a new kind of transportation who has a few years.
Travelers are on board of Trams-Trains.
In Nantes there are two Trams-Trains lines. (Nantes - Clissons & Nantes - Châteaubriant)
These two lines are exploited by the "SNCF" with the self-propelled vehicle Citadis Dualis of Alstom:

    Quote from Alstom web site*1*:

    Now some Pictures and Videos:

As you can see this kind of transport is very interesting for a simulation in a game and it is particularly unseen.

    Second Line Exemple:

    "Ligne Intercités: Nantes - Bordeaux"

The "Intercités" lines are use to travel in the medium distance network of the country.
In Nantes there is an interesting line, the Nantes - Bordeaux Line.
This line come to be update with the arrival of a new intercités self-propelled vehicle the Coradia Liner.

Now some Pictures, Maps and Videos:

New train : SNCF, Coradia Liner - Les Trains Intercités de nouvelle génération by TERRY87392:

This line is very interesting because of is new types of trains and the differents landscapes we can see during the trip.

I hope you appreciate this Post and if you have questions or others I'll glad to answer you.

    Happy New Year ! :D

    Cordially LeinZ.

Excellent idea! It'd be nice to see some French mainline action come to TSW.

Another nice tram-train route would be in and around Lyon. From the beautiful Saint-Paul station, which is located in Lyon's 5th arrondissement, there are three tram-train routes which head westwards through the Loyasse tunnel. After Gorge de Loup station, the trams head to Brignais, L'Arbresle, Sain-Bel and Lozanne.

Rolling stock is the Citadis Dualis as above, but then in Rhône-Alpes livery:

I made this picture myself when I was there, 2.5 years ago.
