Does anyone know if the Class 08 shunter that comes with Woodhead is the same model and uses the same texture files as the original RSDL Class 08 that was available many years ago, and now no longer available ?
It's quite possible that there may have been changes made to the train to make things like reskins incompatible. Since RSDL made the original 08 and RSC made the Woodhead route, it stands proper to believe that the trains are different, and Woodhead's may even be different from the Class 08 available now and released under Dovetail Games (I believe also in the RSC assets folder). The one with Woodhead in Blue is definitely different. All the same, I have put out the question to someone who might have more information on that and will report back on that, but if anyone else knows specifics on this feel free to add on here.
I have both and have just had a quick look at the files using TSTools. They are different in structure, although have some common elements, but I would say that Yes they are different.
To be clear, this was not the person I asked. But I already thought they were different, so I would accept this. If they were the same, we'd have all the UKTS 08 reskins showing up in scenarios.

That's been there for a long time. Coincidentally, I tried to use one and couldn't get the damn thing to move. Even go into gear.
Thanks. TBH I have the original RSDL shunter but struggling to install it. I am re uilding my instalation of TSC after a full PC rebuild and trying to achieve a new slimer version than I had previously. Was hoping to use the Woodhead shunter and copy over the texture files from the RSDL one. Never mind.
I can get the thing in to gear but getting the brakes off and the thing moving is a problem. Like the Class 76s off the Woodhead route the loco had a number of features that just make it difficult for the user. The Manual is one of the worse that DTG released as it's half a page of writing with a picture.
