As RSSLO is having a sale at the moment I am inclined to buy some of their products. Is the routes from RSSLO identical to the ones that are sold on Steam (The Allgäubahn and the Karawankenbahn has the same scenarios both on Steam and RSSLO)? What I am really interested in is if it is possible to use workshop scenarios if I buy the routes from RSSLO?
The Karawankenbahn on RSSLO requires a separate purchase of the Br193 AC/DC pack, is this the same ÖBB 1293 that is supplied in the steam route (for the same normal price for the route)?

RSSLO products on steam are a cast off and not quite as good. RSSLO combine routes together and it is normally routes bought from them. Also there are more and different scenarios on routes and locomotives than those on steam. I buy their routes but sometimes buy a loco of theirs on steam, as they are a lot cheaper in a steam sale. RSSLO give 30% where as Steam you can pick them up at 60% to 70% off. The choice is yours. My preference would be to buy the routes from a RSSLO sale, as they take some time before they are released on Steam.

The routes are identical, but the scenarios can differ. Locos bought on Steam tend to have less variants/liveries than those bought from RSSLO. The route joining utilities they sell are claimed to work with routes bought from either Steam or RSSLO, but I haven't tried.

Products bought from Steam in a sale tend to have bigger discounts than the current 30%.

I consider RSSLO routes to less realistic to look at close up compared with DTG created routes, but more realistic in the middle distance. You always get a lot of route for your money and they tend to be framerate easy, though the most recent ones with more 3D trees less so. Quick drives have plenty of static and moving AI.

There is a not on the Combine-Sudbahn that the Steam version can be used but the Scenarios might not work correctly.

I don't think the are selling a Route Joining Utility but instead it is just a bare map.
If you were to open it with one of the routes missing then you would see gaps where the assets from the missing routes should be.

An example of that idea is the Just Trains MML - Sheffield - Derby.
Look at the map and it extends to Leicester, Nottingham and Lincoln. Without the extra routes you just have empty space
