On rapid transit, my train suddenly increased to 75mph on 70 percent power, when I was previously doing 10 mph. I have restarted the route and the same problem occurred
are you getting the red zigzag symbols next to the speed display? If you, you are getting wheel slip and are having issues getting traction on the rails.
Ok so, I accelerate to 10 mph. I then increase power to 70 percent power. When I do this, it suddenly increases to 50mph. At the same time, it shows that I am overloading the system. I then reduce power input, but this reduces my speed back to 10mph.
The speedometer will read higher if the wheels are slipping and not getting traction because it reads off the motor and not the wheels. If you aren't getting traction you're overloading the motors by putting power there. If you start slipping, ease off the power until it settles and then gradually increase the power instead of going to more than half. It's the same as when driving a car. If you start to wheelspin, you back off the power and gradually ease the power back in.
